- Companies House registration
- Active status, directors, and Persons with Significant Control cross-checked.
- VAT registration
- Verified where applicable via HMRC records.
- Registered address
- Confirmed against the trading address on file.
Insurance
- Public Liability
- Minimum £2m active cover. Certificate and expiry date recorded and monitored monthly.
- Goods in Transit
- Minimum £20k active cover. Certificate and expiry date recorded and monitored monthly.
Trade credentials
- BAR membership
- British Association of Removers membership number verified against the official register.
- Waste Carrier licence
- Mandatory for clearance categories. Verified against the Environment Agency register.
- Other credentials
- NGRS, IAM, FIDI and equivalent where applicable.
Fleet & security
- Vehicle types & counts
- Recorded per firm — Luton vans, 7.5t, 18t, articulated, containers.
- Vehicle ages
- Average fleet age tracked; older fleets require additional maintenance evidence.
- Onboard security
- GPS tracking, immobilisers, alarm systems, and load restraint standards recorded.
